We are in full swing with testing in our class! Thank you for your patience today, while we gave directions and got everything organized. We will be testing through next week, so come to school rested, fed, and ready to do your best! Homework will be less, but you will be expected to read and practice your poem. Thanks for helping us out with snacks next week. This gives us something to look forward to!
We have great writers and artists in our class! I hope you will take advantage of using these talents in the Reflections contests. Information went home Monday. This year's theme is ...WOW! Make sure your form is filled out and completed entries are due: Oct. 1.
I know Milkshake is looking forward to going to a new home this weekend. Rembember, if you want to take her home over the weekend, I need a note or e-mail letting me know it is o.k. You will need to be a car rider on that Friday.
Our next unit in math is Multiplication. We will be making flash cards in a few weeks. If you have anything at home to practice your facts, please start working on them. It's never too early!
Book Reports assignments will begin in October. Be looking for a good fictional book to do your first report on. I will give the assignment sometime soon after the poetry share.
Please make reading a part of your day everyday! We visit the Media Center once a week. I also don't mind you using my chapter books in the class. Just make sure you return it when you are finished!
I know you are enjoying your time with Mrs. Birkbeck in Science. She has the same expectations as I do! Go in to class prepared and stay focused, so you can learn about Rocks and Mineral.
Fall is in the air! Look around you and see if you can find a leaf that is changing color. The world is beautiful this time of year!
Draw a leaf in the signature box of your agenda for a treat. Show it to me by Friday!
