Happy New Year and Welcome to 2011!!!!!

Here are a few updates and future projects coming soon!

We had a visit from Cato on Wednesday, Jan. 5th and they presented a skull study for the kids. Ask your child about it. It was very informative and interesting!

Report cards will go home tomorrow, Fri., Jan 7th. Please send back the envelope and signed signature card for the next grading period.

Media Center books need to be returned ASAP. There are still many out. Please help your child remember to bring the checked out books back the day we go to the media center. Our next media center date is Monday, Jan. 10th, but they can bring the books back anytime!

We have a guidance lesson on Jan. 13. Mystery Readers are now on Thursday because of Target being on Friday. Please reply to Mrs. Lundeberg's e-mail if you want to sign up or if you are signed up and Thursday will be o.k. for reading.

MLK Day is Jan. 17th. No school on this day.

Your child will be choosing an animal to research and do a report on next week. We will be doing the work at school, but your child can gather any information at home they would like to and bring it in.

A Cooking show assignment sheet will be given out on the Jan. 18th and will be due on the 27th of January. If you have any questions let me know!

100th Day of School is on January 25th. We will have a celebration in our classroom. Look of info on the 20th.

Early Release is Feb. 2 at 12:15.

Hammy the hamster died over the winter break. The Mauld Family offered to buy another one for our classroom. He joined our class on Tuesday...our first day back. The kids were very excited! We voted on a name for the hamster and came up with Theodore....nicknamed...Theo. We will continue to take the hamster home as usual.

Hope everyone is having a great year so far!
